→ 4月15–30日にNYPL各館で行われているWorld Literature & Arts Festivalからのピックアップ。子供の胸に響く迫力の太鼓パフォーマンス。OMNYとは "One Miracle in New York" の略で、2006年から活動する非営利団体。
A pick from the NYPL World Literature & Arts Festival (April 15–30). Powerful taiko drumming kids can feel in their chests. OMNY ("One Miracle in New York") is a nonprofit active since 2006.

→ 太鼓、沖縄音楽、花笠音頭パレード、天理教鼓笛隊、茶の湯-野点。2001年にJAAがニューヨーク市に寄贈した168本の桜の木。以降2003年から毎年開催されている桜祭り。45th St (between 5th and 6th Ave) JAAからの送迎バスと弁当あり。
Taiko, Okinawan music, flute-and-drum parade, tea ceremony outdoors. Held since 2003 beneath the 168 cherry trees JAA donated to NYC in 2001. Bus service and bento available from JAA (45th St between 5th and 6th Ave).

2026 全米将棋大会 👶

→ 将棋は日本のチェス — ルールは似ていますが、取った駒を自分の駒として盤に戻すことができます。今年の全米大会では日本からプロ棋士3名を招き、指導、エキシビション、決勝戦の解説を行います。子供大会は12歳以下。
Shogi is Japanese chess — similar rules, but captured pieces can be played back onto your side. Three pros from Japan for instruction, exhibition matches, and commentary. Kids' tournament for ages 12 and under.

→ 桜のライトアップ、琴と三味線の演奏、殺陣パフォーマンス、折り紙、けん玉、Japan Villageの屋台。ピクニックシートやブランケット持参推奨（夕方以降涼しくなるので）。
Cherry Esplanade uplit after dark, koto and shamisen, Samurai Sword Soul, origami, kendama, and Japan Village food. Bring a blanket — it gets cool after sunset.
